David Wilcox

David Wilcox is a quintessential folk singer, telling stories full of heart, humor, and hope, substance, searching, and style. His innate sense of adventure and authenticity is why critics and colleagues, alike, have always praised not just his artistry, but his humanity, as well. As Rolling Stone has noted, his “ongoing musical journey is compelling and richly deserving of a listen.”

Over more than 30 years and 20-something records, Wilcox has continued to hone his craft, pairing thoughtful insights with his warm baritone, open tunings, and deft technique. He's also kept up a brisk and thorough tour itinerary, performing 80 to 100 shows a year throughout the U.S., and regularly deploying his talents by improvising a “Musical Medicine” song for an audience member in need. In recent years he’s taken that process a step further, carefully writing and recording dozens of his “Custom Songs” for long-time fans who seek his help in commemorating and explaining the key milestones in their lives.

Wilcox’s most recent record release, The View From the Edge, finds him delving into mental health, family legacies, spiritual contemplations, and topical concerns. His song “We Make the Way By Walking" – just one in a very memorable collection of material - won him the Grand Prize in the 2018 USA Songwriting Contest.

Beth Nielsen Chapman

Beth Nielsen Chapman has taught worldwide in many venues, including the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Berklee College of Music. In October 2016, she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriting Hall of Fame. A Nashville-based singer-songwriter, she has written hits for a variety of artists, including Bette Midler, Elton John, Emmylou Harris, the Indigo Girls, and Willie Nelson. The mega-hit single “This Kiss,” sung by Faith Hill, ASCAP’S 1999 Song of the Year, garnered Chapman a Grammy Award nomination.

Chapman’s music has been heard on ER, Dawson's Creek, Providence, and Felicity, and in movie soundtracks, including The Prince of Egypt, Message In A Bottle, The Rookie, Where The Heart Is, and Practical Magic. Her groundbreaking 1997 CD, Sand & Water, written in the wake of her husband’s death in 1994, and Deeper Still, released in 2001 following her journey through breast cancer, have rendered deeply healing songs. In 2010, her Back To Love CD spawned two hits on BBC Radio 2 and she went on two tours in England, culminating in a show featuring her music at the Mermaid Theater in London with BBC’s oldest running live radio show, Friday Night Is Music Night. Her latest release, Uncovered, is a collection of original songs covered by other artists but never before recorded by Chapman, including seven #1 hits.
